Kaliningrad CSPs throughput increases by 50 percent to 1.97 million tons from January to July

Kaliningrad CSPs throughput increases by 50 percent to 1.97 million tons from January to July

Trade flows passing via Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port (KCSP JSC) surged in January-July by 49.8% from the same period last year, to 1, 917,500 tons, the Port Authority press release said.

Of overall seven-month volume 1,464,500 tons were outbound cargoes, a?
51.45-percent jump y-o-y, including 289.900 tons of exported petroleum
products (+21.7%), 871.700 tons of ferrous metals (up 1,8 times),
128,700 tons of coal and coke (up1.57 times).

In the reporting period the stevedoring company handled 453,000 tons of
inbound cargoes, or a 45-percent rise from Jan-Jul, 2009.

In July KCSP transshipped 291.600 tons of exports and imports, 2,1 times as much more than that of July 2009.

Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port OJSC is part of the regional port
complex. Kaliningrad Port serves as the hub for transport modes and
major export/import freight flows passing through the region. In 2009
the throughput of the stevedoring company totaled 2,186,100 tons.
