Safmarine launches the new Asia - Africa Service

Safmarine is launching a new box service connecting Asia with South and West Africa jointly with Maersk Line. The FEW3 service will be line’s third linking Asian ports and West Africa.

“Not only will FEW3 significantly improve transit times to Pointe Noire
(Congo) and Matadi (DRC) through a direct call to Pointe Noire (Congo),
but it will also make a direct call at Tin Can Island in Nigeria,” said
Dirk Greens, Africa trade director for Safmarine. The number and size of
vessels to be deployed on the service to be launched this month is yet
to be announced. The service will call Shanghai (China) – Yantian
(China) – Nansha (China) Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) – Durban (South
Africa) – Pointe Noire (Congo) – Tin Can Island (Nigeria) – Durban
(South Africa) – Shanghai (China).
