Pipeline bombing Halts Iraqi oil flow to Turkey - Shipper
Crude oil supplies along the Iraq-Turkey export pipeline were cut Tuesday following a blast attack on the pipeline inside Turkey, a Middle East shipping agent said Wednesday.
“The flow was suspended since 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT) Tuesday,” the
agent told Dow Jones Newswires by telephone from the Turkish Ceyhan
terminal in the Mediterranean.
Before the suspension, Iraq was pumping around 18,000 to 20,000 barrels
an hour, or 432,000 to 480,000 barrels a day to the Turkish port, the
agent said.
