Baltic Trading offer files $ 126 million shares
Dry goods shipper Baltic Trading Ltd., a subsidiary of Genco Shipping and Trading Ltd., said Tuesday it has filed a registration statement to offer shares worth $126 million.
Baltic Trading, which raised $228.2 million with an initial public
offering in March, said it intends to use the proceeds from the new
offering for working capital and to pay off debt from the purchase of
three ships.
Baltic Trading said it won’t begin any marketing for the new offering
until after Sept. 5, when the lockup period it entered into in
connection with its initial public offering ends.
New York-based Baltic Trading carries iron ore, coal, grain and other goods on global routes.
The company’s shares fell 6 percent to $11.08 in morning trading.
