Sorochinskneft plans to set up production by 8.6% in 2010

The oil production of NGDU Sorochinskneft in January–June 2010 amounted to 4.878 mln tons. The company is planning to produce a total of 9.95 mln tons of oil by the end of 2010 (compared to 9.165 mln tons in 2009)

According to Oleg Toropchin, head of Sorochinskneft, 37 oil and gas
fields are on the balance of the company, and intensive drilling works
are being performed in them. 45 development wells and 2 exploration
wells will be put into operation by the end of this year, and the number
of well interventions will grow up to 529. Use of new advanced
technologies raises the efficiency of works in the fields. A pilot
project that is now being implemented at 20 wells in the
Sorochinsko-Nikolskoe field uses double-suction electrical submersible
pumps. The effect of their use has exceeded the expectations.

In the Samodurovskoe and Ponomarevskoe fields, geologists use
carbon-oxygen well—logging, which makes it possible to find missed oil
deposits. Implementation of a polymer flooding project was started in
the Tokskoe field for enhanced oil recovery.

Apart from that, three-dimensional seismic exploration works, including
three-dimensional scanning of underground structures, are being
performed in the fields for raising the efficiency and reducing the
duration and cost of exploration works.
