Not much change in gas prices over the weekend
As usual, there wasn’t very much movement at all in gas prices over the weekend. For example, there were very few changes in the South Westnedge Avenue corridor or along Portage Road in Kalamazoo and Portage.
The biggest change was the Marathon on East Michigan in Kalamazoo, the
Shell on M-51 in Niles and the BP on Niles Avenue in St. Joseph all
dropping to an area-low $2.59, according to www.gasbuddy.com.
That’s just 4 cents higher than the state’s lowest price of $2.55 at a Mobil in Flint.
On the high side, the tops in Southwest Michigan on Monday morning is
$2.77 at the Meijer on Columbia Avenue in Battle Creek while the highest
in the state is $3.03 at a BP in Rochester Hills.
In the corridor, the Clark is $2.63 and the Admiral, Meijer and three
Speedways are all $2.66. Along Portage Road near the Kalamazoo-Battle
Creek International Airport, the BP, Marathon and Speedway stations are
$2.67 and the Shell is $2.69.
Around Southwest Michigan:
* $2.64, Meijer, M-89, Plainwell,
* $2.64, Admiral, U.S. 131, Three Rivers,
* $2.68, Admiral, West Michigan Avenue, Marshall,
* $2.73, Citgo, South Main Street, Lawton.
For those going to the Columbus, Ohio, area, the best price is $2.54 at a Mobil in suburban Grove City.
